A woman who said she had known Mr White since he was a child told the Sydney Morning Herald[5] that he had recently started hearing voices.
'Over the past 12 months he had just fully isolated himself,' she told the publication.
'Before that he was fine, he had normal conversations and everything.
'He had always been a pretty good kid growing up. He has had a hard life, he only had his mum. It was only mum and the two boys.'

'The (older son) is very disturbed by what has happened. He is the one who came across the incident and called police to attend it,' he said.

'There was a crossbow taken out of the vehicle, but there are other items (that have) also been taken out of the vehicle that the older son was in,' he said.
He refused to rule out the possibility she may died on Mother's Day, saying it was too early in the investigation to determine an exact timeline of events.
